When customers call us, their needs are usually urgent ones. The customer doesn't have time to wait for information, pricing or delivery. They want it now. Our customers want to get a real person instead of voice mail and they don't want to leave messages. They want their questions answered regarding application to assure that the right unit is supplied for the job.

Our next objective is to deliver the unit, where and when the customer needs it. In the rental business, dependability is critical. Our rental employees are committed to supporting you business on you timetable. We want you to be able to depend on Minnesota Supply Company.

To better acquaint you with our rental and used capabilities, let us answer some commonly asked questions.

Q. How large of a rental fleet do you have?

A. We have, on average, 200 units in our rental fleet. Eighty percent of these are less than two years old.

Q. How big of a lift truck can I rent from Minnesota Supply Company?

A. We normally have, on hand, pneumatic-tired lift trucks up to 30,000 pounds, indoor units up to 15,000 pounds and electrics up to 6,000 pounds. If we don't have it, we'll find it.

Q. Do you rent narrow aisle electric forklifts for warehouse work?

A. Yes! We inventory one of the largest narrow aisle rental fleets in the Upper Midwest. Our rental fleet is comprised of Cat and Raymond narrow aisle equipment. We have pallet jacks, orderpickers, reach trucks, stand up end control, three-wheel sitdowns, turret trucks and deep-reach forklifts. We have lift heights to 300 inches and capacities up to 4,000 pounds.

Q. Can I rent other equipment from Minnesota Supply Company as well as lift trucks?

A. Yes! We represent various special types of equipment. All the products we sell are available for rent. We have aerial lifts, small material lifters, sideloaders, dockstockers, self-loading forklifts and many other items. If you don't see what you need, call anyway. We probably have it!

Q. What kind of forklift attachments do you have for rent?

A. We can supply roll clamps, push/pull clamps, cartoon clamps, sideshifts and fork clamps. We also have sources for specialty attachments. In addition, we equip some of our rental units to accept these attachments.

Q. What do you have for service capabilities?

A. We have 55 field service technicians that can be dispatched if a problem arises. We average four-hour response time on a "truck down" call. If we can't repair your rental in a timely fashion, we will swap units to assure you of maximum usage. In addition, we operate a second shift for night shop repairs and have two technicians on pager for weekend emergencies. The objective is to keep you operating.

Q. How do you handle trucking of your equipment?

A. We primarily use our own delivery trucks. That gives us the greatest latitude in meeting your requirements for scheduled time of delivery. We currently operate three tilt bed and tractor trailer delivery trucks to service your needs. Our truck drivers are prepared to deliver, day or night, whatever you need wherever you want!
